MLK Celebration: Truth and Power: Students Leading for Change: Silent March

Wednesday, February 10, 2016 - 10:00am

The MLK Celebration Committee will be hosting a silent march as part of MIT's MLK Celebration on February 10. This year's theme is Truth and Power: Students Leading for Change. The march will be broadly inclusive and all student groups are invited, as well as the wider MIT community.  The march will start at 10am and go from Lobby 7 to Walker Memorial where the MLK Celebration lunch will begin at 11am.  Those who participate in the march need not participate in the lunch. For more information about the lunch, please go to the Institute Community and Equity Office's MLK Celebration 2016 webpage.

The goal of the march is to recognize the importance of student activism - on many different and sometimes divisive issues - and to come together for a moment to recognize, in the spirit of MLK, a joint concern with social justice.
