Join us for a film screening of The Merchants of Doubt, a documentary inspired by the book of the same name. The film examines the use of PR tactic of developing relationships scientists and others who convincingly cast doubt on scientific research and evidence. This tactic, first used by the tobacco industry, successfully delayed federal regulation for years, long after the health risks of smoking had been proven. The film then connects to the current tactics to stall governmental action to regulate greenhouse gasses that are contributing to global climate change.
